Dr. Jameela Al Salman, Infectious Diseases consultant at SMC and a member of the National Medical Taskforce for Combatting the Coronavirus pointed out today that 19% of those eligible for vaccination have not registered yet.
Citizens and residents have been urged to register for a COVID-19 vaccine.
The virus is mutating and vaccinations will reduce the number of infections, Dr. Jameela said.
Compliance with precautionary measures is absolutely necessary, she added.
