Bahrain discusses to ban single-use plastic bags
Bahrain yesterday reviewed technical regulations and decisions for banning bottled water with volumes less than 200 millimetres and single-use plastic bags with a thickness of fewer than 35 microns in the Bahraini market.
The meeting also reviewed technical regulations and related decisions for biodegradable plastic products, liquefied gas cylinder transport vehicles, reinforcing steel (carbon steel bars), Gulf Technical Regulations for Electric Vehicles, and electronic nicotine products.
Bahrain, reportedly, will place a ban on plastic bags with a thickness of fewer than 35 microns from the 18th of September.
