UAE: Fine, jail term for damaging others’ property

The Public Prosecution indicated that whoever destroys or damages others’ property, whether immovable or movable, rendering it unusable or disrupting it in any way, shall be punished by imprisonment for a period not exceeding one year and a fine not exceeding Dhs10,000, or either of the two.
The penalty shall be imprisonment if the crime results in the disruption of a public utility or facility of public utility, or if it results in putting people’s lives, security, or health at risk.
The penalty shall be imprisonment for a period not exceeding five years if the crime is committed by a gang consisting of at least three persons.
