Global COVID-19 cases cross 239.63 million

Over 239.63 million people have been reported to be infected by COVID-19 globally and over 5.8 million people have died, according to a Reuters tally on Friday.
Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in December 2019.
