Kuwait allows Iftar Banquets in Mosques
Kuwait has issued a circular declaring to hold iftar banquets at mosques in line with certain regulations.
- The party wishing to hold Iftar banquets in the mosques should submit an official letter to the administration of the governorate’s mosques requesting approval, after coordinating with the Imam.
- Iftar banquets should be held in the mosque’s courtyards. Banquets are prepared half an hour before the call for prayer and removed immediately after the breaking of the fast.
- Organizing iftar banquets is the responsibility of those in charge of the Iftar project under the supervision of the Imam.
- Ramadan tents are not allowed within the premises of the mosques.
- It is strictly forbidden to connect electricity to the Ramadan tents in order to ensure the safety of worshipers.
