Human Trafficking in Bahrain; 8 Arrested
Director-General of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science announced that the anti-human trafficking police had arrested eight males and females, including three Bahrainis for deprivation of liberty of 21 foreign women and forcing them into vice activities.
He said that an investigation of a case received by one of the victims led to identifying and arresting the suspects after obtaining a warrant from the Public Prosecution. An amount of BD200000 was confiscated from a Bahraini suspect. Legal proceedings were taken, and the case was referred to the Public Prosecution.
