Bahrain: TRA Denies Decision To “Lock” Mobiles For Bill Unpayment
The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has denied making any decision to lock mobile phones up in cases of users’ failures in paying the monthly instalments of the device.
Earlier, it was said that users must be aware before purchasing any device from the market, making sure that the device is valid through the IMEI device identification number on the box or settings. A green, yellow, red colour code was in place to identify the status of the device.
However, a clarification statement was issued by TRA, stating that the reports are incorrect.
