Bahrain: Restrictions on Food Trucks in Residential Areas

A draft resolution specifying controls and requirements for food trucks in the residential area was approved.

The resolution stated that food trucks have to leave a distance of at least 20 meters in all directions from neighbouring buildings, and leaving a distance of 50 meters from any road intersection, roundabouts or traffic lights.

It also specified the period for the activity between 6 am to 12 midnight, and not to leave any equipment or furniture after completing its services. These specifications came in light of the recommendation submitted by the Ministerial Committee for Legal Affairs Legislative.
